Since 1987 you may have known us as AIA, or American Insurance Administrators, or as one of our three core divisions: AIA Property & Casualty (P&C), Benefits Resource Group (BRG), or as Benefits Broker Solutions (BBS). You may have heard something about us becoming part of Alera Group in 2017. But we are all one company, and now we are aligning our name, our brand, our new look, and our new website to reflect that strong one-company story.

Meet Our Team
Ben Lerew
Account Manager, Broker Solutions & Employee Benefits
Ben serves as an Account Manager in the Broker Solutions division. He is responsible for quoting, enrollment, submissions, and delivering superior service to our broker clients. Ben is known to be a creative, collaborative, and a flexible team-player
Ben’s 16 years of previous military administrative service brings tremendous value to the team and to our broker clients. His organization, focused attention, and resourcefulness assures that our clients’ expectations will be surpassed.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters. He also invests in giving back to the community through charitable cycling events such as Ride to Recovery and the Hershey Chocolate Tour for Penn State cancer research. In addition, Ben stills serves our country in the Pennsylvania National Guard.
Ben holds a Resident Producer License in Health, Life, Accident and Fixed Annuities.
Glenda Leister
Senior Benefits Consultant
Glenda joined the team in 2018 and currently handles small, mid-market and large group clients. She works with the clients to provide a strategy to help to mitigate increased cost by providing innovative approaches to reducing costs. Glenda believes that education and engagement of the employees will help manage costs for both employees and employers. With over 25 years in the insurance industry, Glenda has a vast knowledge of the claims processing which provides her clients with excellent customer service and someone to reach out to for help. Glenda is a licensed Accident and Health, Life and Fixed Annuities agent. When not at work she enjoys traveling with her husband to the Caribbean to find their retirement island.
Cheri Long
Associate Implementation Analyst
Cheri is an Associate Implementation Analyst, responsible for providing administrative support related to the implementation of client benefit technology. She is wellversed in human resources procedures, data entry, and administrative client support.
Cheri has additional experience in the healthcare industry working in third-party patient financial services and as a claims follow-up specialist. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Health Information Technology and a PA Accident & Health, Life & Fixed Annuities license.
Megan Luther
Senior Benefit Consultant
Megan is a Senior Benefit Consultant at Alera Group's Mechanicsburg office. She joined the team in 2012 and brings over 30 years of experience in employee benefits. As a Senior Consultant, she provides strategic health and welfare plan management for some of the firm's larger employer clients. Megan specializes in developing customized healthcare strategies and conducting ongoing analysis to ensure clients' goals and expectations are met. She is known for her commitment to delivering high-level, personalized customer service.
Megan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Leadership from Duquesne University.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys traveling with her family and attending her children’s sports and events.

Deadline for San Francisco Health Care Security Ordinance is approaching
The annual San Francisco Health Care Security Ordinance (SF HCSO) reporting by employers that have employees who work in the City of or County of San Francisco is due by May 2, 2025. Employers should be aware of the upcoming deadline even if they are not located in San Francisco.
The SF HCSO requires large and medium-sized employers to provide covered employees with benefits equal to or greater than the expenditure rate. Covered employees are those who have been employed for more than 90 days and who regularly work at least eight hours per week within the City of and County of San Francisco.
