Alera Group Appoints Cynthia Ballantyne as Managing Director of the West Region

Deerfield, IL (March 23, 2023) — Alera Group, a top independent national insurance and wealth services firm, announced today that Cynthia Ballantyne has been appointed as Managing Director of the West region.

In her new role, Ballantyne will accelerate growth by developing leadership teams, implementing efficient operations aimed at enhancing the colleague experience and bolstering expansion across the West region, which includes 18 offices, 36 locations, 600 colleagues and approximately $185 million in revenue across California, Arizona and Nevada.

Ballantyne joined Alera Group from Gallagher, where she has been Area President since 2016. In this role, she had 15 direct reports and a matrix of 500 team members under that umbrella to support her region. She also worked directly with functions such as M&A, sales/producers, benefit advocates, financial benefit consulting, wellness, operations, account management, finance and marketing. Previously, Ballantyne was President of Bagnall, which Gallagher purchased in 2016.
