Sally Prather, Employee Benefits Practice Leader at Alera Group, was named as one of Employee Benefit Adviser’s (EBA) Top Women in Benefit Advising for 2020. As one of only 20 winners selected in the U.S., Prather exemplifies industry expertise, innovation, and leadership—standing out as one of the best in the field.
This award recognizes contributions made to the employee benefits field, including significantly increasing a benefit firm’s sales, market share, strategic consulting, and most importantly, helping elevate the status of all women in this profession.
Prather has served as a mentor to many women in the employee benefits space over the years. Innovation and creativity mark her career, including the roll out of an organization-wide value proposition for the Alera Group employee benefits division—within her first four months in her role. Her early accomplishments include leading the development of the first mentorship program at Marsh and sustaining immense growth in each business unit she’s been responsible for during her 25 years in the industry.
