Swinging for Good: 37th Alera Group Charity Golf Classic Raises Nearly $200k

Newton, MA. June 23, 2026— Alera Group hosted its 37th Annual Charity Golf Classic at Woodland Golf Club in Newton, Massachusetts, bringing together clients, carrier partners, colleagues and friends in support of the Community Connections Foundation and the organizations it serves.
The event raised nearly $200,000 to support charitable causes and community organizations, bringing the tournament's lifetime fundraising total to more than $2,500,000 since its founding in 1990.
More than 123 golfers, sponsors and volunteers participated in this year's outing, continuing a tradition established by Ray Blue, who launched the tournament nearly four decades ago to support a local recovery home in need of financial assistance. What began as a small fundraising effort has grown into a longstanding philanthropic tradition that continues to create meaningful impact throughout the community.
