Brent Novoselsky has been with the firm since 1995 and has served clients, their families, and their businesses since 1989. With a specialized focus on the accumulation and preservation of wealth, risk management, and executive benefit strategies, Brent brings over three decades of financial experience paired with a values-first approach to planning.

As a Behavioral Financial Advisor™, Brent helps clients align their financial decisions with their personal values, goals, and legacies. His areas of specialization include life insurance, disability income protection, long-term care planning, 401(k) and retirement plan consulting for businesses, Keyman and buy-sell strategies, and C-suite-level financial planning. He collaborates closely with the specialists and resources of Alera Group as well as trusted outside advisors to deliver holistic strategies tailored to each client’s needs.

Brent is especially proud to be considered a “first responder” during moments of major life transition. After the sudden loss of his father in 2008, he helped his mother navigate and thrive financially until her passing in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. That deeply personal experience continues to influence how he supports others during periods of loss, retirement, business succession, or major change.

Before entering financial services, Brent played seven seasons in the National Football League, beginning with the Chicago Bears in 1988 and continuing with the Minnesota Vikings from 1989 through 1994, retiring after a serious neck injury. He is a member of both the Chicago and Philadelphia Jewish Sports Halls of Fame, and credits the discipline, preparation, and teamwork from his NFL career with shaping his client-focused approach.

Brent serves as a board member of the NFL Players Association Former Players Chicago Chapter, is co-chair of the Bnai Brith Scholarship Program and is the Ambassador of American Football in Israel.

He and his wife live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and have three children. Outside of work, Brent is a brown belt in Taekwondo, a Pilates aficionado—and an avid bad golfer.
