Spencer Friedman is an Employee Benefits Advisor  specializing in the small group and mid-market segments. Spencer is a member of Alera Group’s Veterinary Division, a team that specializes in working with veterinary hospitals and animal clinics across the country to help develop benefit programs that attract and retain quality employees. Our clients offer industry-leading benefit programs and are recognized as places people want to work!

As a former produce and commodities trader, Spencer gained considerable knowledge of the foodservice industry. Since joining Alera Group in 2020, Spencer has developed a specialty in working with bars and restaurants in the Chicagoland area. In 2022, Spencer was selected as one of Insurance Business America’s Rising Stars; a prestigious award honoring “some of the finest insurance professionals aged 35 and under”. Spencer has also earned a Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist Designation from the Hartford School of Insurance. He is also an Accredited Professional in Risk and Insurance Designee from the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers.

Outside of work, Spencer lives in Chicago, Illinois and enjoys spending time with his friends and family. He also likes skiing, traveling, and golfing.
