Meet Our Team
Piper McNealy
Senior Partner, Producer
In 1998 Piper McNealy joined Carol Chandor and Kathryn Tolan to build Boston Benefit Partners with the dream of creating a unique, team-based employee benefit consulting firm that would provide high quality expertise, unsurpassed customer service, and innovative solutions. She is proud to have made that dream a reality and is excited to now step into a role within Alera Group focused on organic growth within our large group employee benefits practice.
A graduate of Babson College, her entrepreneurial acumen and employee benefit expertise have earned her both regional and national recognition. Managing large, multi-state accounts, Piper is an expert in self-funded plans, ACA, HIPAA, and other employee benefit related subjects.
In addition to leadership in our Boston office, Piper is committed to her community. In 2009 she was recognized and inducted into the National MS Society’s Volunteer Hall of Fame for raising well over $1,000,000 in contributions, and in 2012 she was presented the TOYL (Top Outstanding Young Leaders) award by the Boston Chamber of Commerce. She served as Chairman of the Board for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater New England Chapter, from 2014-2016.

Legal Alert: Enforcement of the HIPAA Reproductive Health Care Privacy Rule Vacated Nationwide
On June 18, 2025, a federal district court in Texas vacated a significant portion of the HIPAA Privacy Rule to Support Reproductive Health Care Privacy (“Final Rule”), which was implemented on April 24, 2024, on a nationwide basis. The Final Rule, which was implemented in response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization (effectively overturning Roe v. Wade), was intended to protect the ability of individuals to receive reproductive health care when the care is provided lawfully under the circumstances without risk of an individual’s identity or health information being disclosed for purposes of state criminal, civil or administrative investigations (or for imposing liability related to lawfully providing or obtaining reproductive healthcare).
