This was a strategic move for WBG to facilitate our continued growth.

BJ Webster
Chief Investment Officer, Wealth Services and Retirement Plan ServicesBJ Webster is an industry veteran with over 35 years of experience constructing and managing investment portfolios for clients. He brings his expertise to role of Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for Wealth Services and Retirement Plan Services at Alera Group.
In 2022 Alera Group acquired Wharton Business Group, co-founded by Webster in 1992. Believing that an unbiased, low-cost approach to investing is essential in today’s world of proprietary products and high-cost investing, Webster has strived for the role of trusted advisor. He specializes in investment advisory and business continuity services, including leadership succession and estate planning – typically working alongside other advisors to help business owners.
In addition to providing succession and leadership planning to his clients, Webster recognized the need to be responsible for next generation planning and succession for his own business. Practicing what he preached, he joined Alera Group where he’s now able to connect clients with a network of experts and advisors in other planning areas.
Webster started his financial services career with CIGNA Individual Financial Services in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Born in Delaware, BJ was raised in Florida and graduated from the University of Delaware in 1985.
He currently lives in Gainesville, Florida with his wife Jamie. They are actively immersed in the lives of Jamie’s three adult children and three grandchildren. BJ and Jamie are very involved and supportive of many local Gainesville charities and community service organizations.
Gregg Brozek
Trading and Operations ManagerInvestment Experience: 23+ years
With WBG: 3 Years
Gregg joined Wharton Business Group in 2020 as a member of the investment team, primarily covering portfolio reporting for current and prospective clients, trade implementation and overall client support. Gregg came to WBG after spending 16 years with Citi Private Bank, where he was a member of the flagship Multi-Asset Class (MACS) portfolio management team, assisting in the day-to-day management of asset allocation strategies for high net worth and institutional clients totaling over $18bil in assets under management. Prior to Citi, Gregg began his career with Evaluation Associates, Inc., an institutional investment consulting firm located in Fairfield County, CT.
Gregg believes that clients can achieve their long-term investment objectives and receive the same access to world class mutual funds and investment managers without paying unnecessarily high management fees, a philosophy championed by Wharton Business Group.
A Connecticut native, Gregg graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He lives in West Chester, PA with his wife and two kids, where he enjoys coaching and playing various sports and spending time with family and friends.
Matt Delaney
PartnerInvestment Experience: 29 years
With WBG: 25 years
Matt left the bright lights of law and politics and Merrill Lynch in October, 1997 to join his friend, BJ Webster, in the professional pursuit of providing unbiased, low cost, unleveraged and transparent advice to individual investors and the charitable organizations they serve.
His small town, personal approach has its roots from early career choices in distribution (newspapers), services (lawn mowing) and concierge (valet parking).
A 1988 graduate of Penn State University and 1992 graduate of Duquesne University Law School, Matt works with clients he has known his entire life in addition to the individuals and organizations they refer.
Matt lives in Wayne PA with his wife and four children. FUN is a constant pursuit! As well as service on the Boards of Michael’s Way and Kase’s Corner.

Marc A. Hembrough
Founding PartnerInvestment Experience: 39 years
With WBG: 31 years
Marc has over 32 years of experience working with high net-worth individuals and institutions on areas such as business succession/leadership planning, incentive compensation, and tax and estate planning. Prior to starting Wharton Business Group, Marc was a planner at Kistler Tiffany Companies, a preeminent planning organization for high-net-worth clients.
Marc graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business in 1984, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a concentration in Finance.
Originally a Boston native, Marc resides in Glenmore, PA with his wife Katie. Marc is Co-Chair of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation Philadelphia Gala and Committee Member of the Foundation, as well as a Committee Member and fund-raiser for Camp Cadet, Pennsylvania State Police. Marc is also a supporter of several organizations such as Wounded Warriors, Wounded Warriors in Action, and youth competitive shooting programs including the Jr. Olympic Development Team. He and his wife are long-time supporters of Main Line Animal Rescue, the largest no-kill animal shelter east of the Mississippi. Marc is active in his church as well as prayer initiatives for area business leaders. In his spare time, Marc is also an avid sports enthusiast.
