Blue Peak Insurance, an Alera Group Company, is a full-service insurance brokerage offering a wide array of Individual Health and Medicare insurance options. Our mission is to educate and empower our clients so they can choose the best possible plan for their unique needs. Our goal is to add value and improve the quality of your coverage so you can feel confident in your decision. We know navigating individual and Medicare insurance options can be overwhelming. We offer guidance, answer your questions, and try to make the health insurance experience hassle-free from start to finish.
Blue Peak Insurance was founded in January 2008 by Nancy Glicksman. Nancy has a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work and prior to her insurance career, a background working with children with special needs. Her ability to support and connect to people has made her a leader in the insurance industry. She educates her clients and consistently advocates for their best interest. Nancy is licensed and certified to sell Medicare in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, DC, and Florida.
In December 2022, Blue Peak Insurance joined Alera Group, an independent, national insurance and financial services firm created through the merger of like-minded, high-performing, entrepreneurial companies across the United States. Alera Group provides access to resources, technical expertise, and best practices of a larger national firm while maintaining local personal care and thoughtful customer service. We position ourselves as leaders in the insurance world to ensure a high level of confidence in our expertise.
Meet Our Team
Nancy Glicksman
Medicare and Individual Benefits ConsultantNancy joined the Harrisburg office in January 2023. Her main focus is on growing and supporting Medicare and Individual clients. Prior to joining the team, Nancy was founder and owner of Blue Peak Insurance, an independent insurance agency offering a complete line of health, life, disability and long-term care products to individuals, families and small groups in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
She has her master’s degree in clinical social work, which helps her to advocate, support and educate her clients.
Outside of the office, she and her husband, John, enjoy exercising, traveling, and spending time with their three sons and their families.

Dental Insurance Options
Dental insurance typically has an annual maximum limit per person which tends to range anywhere from $1000- $3500 depending on the plan design and carrier. Blue Peak offers a variety of different dental plans and can help you find the right price and coverage amount.

Dental discount plans are another option for individuals and families to consider if their dentist is a participating provider. These plans have no maximums or preexisting limitations; however, it is important to remember, this is not insurance. You receive a set discount on the services provided. Whether you need individual coverage for a vacation, extended coverage for a long-term stay abroad, student coverage while studying abroad, or group coverage to employees in locations around the world, they have the right plan.

Don’t Forget About Your Gag Clause Attestations
When the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 (CAA) was enacted on December 27, 2020, it included a provision that prohibits group health plans and health insurance carriers from entering into certain agreements that, either directly or indirectly, restrict the release of certain information related to provider networks and de-identified encounter data, among other things. Such restrictions are commonly referred to as “gag clauses.” The CAA also requires plans and carriers to attest annually that their agreements do not include such impermissible gag clauses.
