Our Firm
Founded by John Davidson in 1983, our firm offers customized employee benefit solutions and consulting services built around our clients’ goals and objectives. We specialize in creative benefit solutions, strategic planning and easing the benefits burden on HR. We exclusively work on large group (> 100 employees) employee benefits. Our leading goal is to practice with the best principles always in mind. Making a difference in everything we touch is what we live and breathe each day.
Formerly known as Davidson Benefits Planning, we are a fully-owned division of Alera Group based in Tigard, Oregon.

Culture development comes from our entire staff. Our culture committee coordinates a variety of events including community volunteer activities to have fun together and invigorate staff.

We have ongoing training and support for our employees. The training and message has been extremely well received.

Leslie Draper
Senior Benefits Consultant
Leslie Draper is a Benefits Consultant at Davidson Benefits Planning. With over 15 years of employee benefits experience, she started at DBP as an account manager and rapidly progressed to a Benefit Consultant. She has experience in public relations and corporate communications including strategic planning. Leslie has a passion for perfection. She has a background working with large, self-funded group/multi state clients and enjoys finding creative solutions for her clients.
Leslie enjoys wine tasting, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two young children. She received her BA in Mass Communications from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire with honors, and is a licensed Life and Health Producer. Certified in Mental Health First Aid USA.
Glen Grant
Employee Benefits Practice Leader - Northwest
Glen Grant, CSFS has over 26 years of employee benefits experience. Glen is Senior Vice President, Benefits Consulting and Client Services, including leads the Analytics and Financial Services team. He works closely on office efficiency and ensuring all DBP staff exceed client expectations. He specializes in underwriting analysis, managed pharmacy benefit solutions, alternative funding feasibility studies, financial analytics utilizing sophisticated predictive modeling tools, cost savings opportunities and negotiations.
Glen has extensive experience in self-funding including having set-up pharmacy purchasing coalitions, stop loss refunding purchasing coalitions as well as having been a Pharmacy Practice Leader. He also serves on advisory boards for several local insurers and is on Alera’s Executive Advisory Council. Prior to DBP, Glen was a consultant at a large, national benefits consulting firm.
Glen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara in addition to having his Life and Health license. He is also a Certified Self-Funding Specialist (CSFS) and is credentialed with honors by the Health Insurance Association (HIA). Glen is a member of the Western Pension and Benefits Conference and the Portland Human Resource Management Association.
Matt Henninger
Benefits Consultant
Matt Henninger is a Benefit Consultant with over 19 years of experience in the employee benefits industry. Matt has worked with a diverse group of clients and provided guidance and administration on a wide variety of employee benefit plans, including integrated wellness programs, partially self-funded medical plans, reference-based pricing models and defined contribution plans.
Matt enjoys engaging with clients to evaluate and identify benefits strategies that best reflect the company’s culture and business needs. He is constantly reviewing cost containment vendors and monitoring new legislation and regulations to assist clients. Matt’s previous experience includes 6 years with Alliant Insurance services and 12 years with the Hecht Group as the Director of Benefit Management. He earned his BBA degree in Marketing from Ohio University and holds an Oregon and Washington State producer license for Life and Disability. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, exploring Oregon’s wilderness and spending time with his friends and family.
Trish Isaak
Senior Benefits Consultant
Trish Isaak is a Benefits Consultant with Davidson Benefits Planning. She comes to DBP with over 20 years of customer service experience and has 18 years of working in employee benefits and third party administration. Her prior account management role focused on the public sector, as well as on COBRA, FSA and retiree benefits.
Trish holds a B.A. degree from the University of Oregon and a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) from Lewis and Clark College. She is a Group Benefit Disability specialist (GBDS) and a Certified Wellness Expert (Wellness Council of America) in addition to maintaining her life and health licenses. She enjoys spending time reading, cooking, traveling and being with family.
