Robyn Olson

Robyn is a Senior Partner at Alera Group with over two decades of experience in employee benefits consulting and the health field.  She has a passion for health policy and politics.  Robyn specializes in health and welfare plan design, dental benefits strategy, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance. Robyn’s expertise includes managing RFP processes, claims analysis, and implementing tailored benefits solutions for diverse clients.

Prior to joining our team in 2009, Robyn worked at Delta Dental of Massachusetts. From 1999-2002, Robyn served as the Assistant Director of Budget for the Group Insurance Commission (GIC), the organization responsible for the procurement and management of the benefit programs for the state’s 140,000 employees and retirees. She also spent time as Assistant Dean at Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists, where she taught and advanced oral health research.

Robyn earned a PhD in Public Affairs, an MPA with a specialization in Health Policy, and a BS in Dental Hygiene from Northeastern University. She is a board member of the Massachusetts Health Connector Authority, the Better Oral Health for Massachusetts Coalition, and the Oral Health Advocacy Task Force. She also served as an adjunct faculty member at MCPHS University where she taught health policy to dental hygiene students. Her clients include public sector organizations and employers across various industries, where she delivers innovative, cost-effective benefit strategies.
