    Meet Our Team

    Anne Wayman

    Account Executive
    Anne Wayman

    Anne Wayman has thirty one years of Industry experience. Anne was the Western Region Manager in the San Francisco office for FM Guardian Insurance Company and was responsible for managing and marketing for all Western Region Accounts for the Houston based Insurer. Anne was also Account executive for Hobbs/Awkright Group in San Mateo, California during the technology boom. Hobbs focused on large account brokerage services for Real Estate, Health Care, Technology and Wholesale Trade. Some of Hobbs accounts included Levi Strauss, Ross Stores, American Licorice, and Universal Foods. The Technology Services team serviced accounts including but not limited to International Game Technology, Varian Technology, and Cirrus Logic. Since 1996 Anne’s focus has been Healthcare, Gaming, Technology, Risk Management and Construction. Anne has a passion to support local charities and has assisted the fund raising efforts for American Heart Association, Go For Red for Women, Safe Nest (Temporary Assistance for Domestic Crisis), Boys and Girls Club of Nevada and Opportunity Village of Nevada. Anne is also involved with United Way of Nevada Women’s Leadership Council.

    Malinda Williams

    Malinda Williams

    Mindy has been with Alera Group since April of 2016. She started in the insurance industry in 1985, assisting account executives in day-to-day servicing of variety account types, commercial lines and personal lines, claims and accounting assistant. In 1988, Mindy obtained her insurance license where she was responsible for the day-to-day management and marketing of variety commercial accounts that included communicating with the client, maintain policy records negotiating contract terms and premiums with underwriters on behalf of the client, prepare and present proposals.

    In 1997 Mindy was part-owner and field technician of a pest control company until 2010.  In April of 2010, she went back to insurance as an account executive in the commercial lines department. She believes in providing efficient and personable service to clients while attending to their insurance needs.  Mindy has lived in Las Vegas since 1972, met and married her husband for over 30 years and raised their 3 children.

    Allen Kaercher

    Managing Partner
    Allen Kaercher

    Allen Kaercher has over 30 years of experience in development and implementation of risk management programs, specializing in implementation of risk control programs of airports, hotels, casinos and other large, complex accounts. Allen earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business insurance administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Allen holds an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation. He devotes a great deal of his time to numerous community organizations including the Boy Scouts of America, Inner City Games and the Southern Nevada Water Authority. Allen is past president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Southern Nevada. In addition, Allen serves as an honorary commander at the Nellis Air Force Base.

    Are You Prepared to Comply With the New Mental Health Parity Final Rule in 2025?

    On September 9, 2024, the DOL, IRS and HHS released a final rule for the Requirements Related to the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA Final Rule). The MHPAEA Final Rule is similar to the proposed rule released on July 25, 2023, with some marked differences. While the MHPAEA Final Rule is effective as of November 22, 2024, the requirements become enforceable at different times. Most apply to plan years beginning on or after January 1, 2025, with other requirements becoming enforceable for plan years beginning on or after January 1, 2026.

    Legal Alert: IRS Adjusts Health Flexible Spending Account and Other Benefit Limits for 2025

    On October 22, 2024, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) released Revenue Procedure 2024-40, which increases the health flexible spending account (FSA) salary reduction contribution limit to $3,300 for plan years beginning in 2025, an increase of $100 from 2024.
