    Since 1987 you may have known us as AIA, or American Insurance Administrators, or as one of our three core divisions: AIA Property & Casualty (P&C), Benefits Resource Group (BRG), or as Benefits Broker Solutions (BBS). You may have heard something about us becoming part of Alera Group in 2017. But we are all one company, and now we are aligning our name, our brand, our new look, and our new website to reflect that strong one-company story.

    Taylor Ross

    Medicare Account Manager
    Taylor Ross

    Taylor Ross is a dedicated Medicare Account Manager at Alera Group, providing essential support to the company’s team of Medicare agents. With a strong background in Medicare sales and marketing, she understands the complexities of Medicare and is passionate about helping individuals make informed healthcare decisions. Taylor firmly believes that working with a qualified Medicare consultant is key to selecting the right coverage and avoiding costly mistakes.

    In her role, Taylor oversees agent support, client engagement, and sales and marketing strategy, ensuring agents have the resources and guidance they need to succeed. She brings valuable industry expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to both agents and beneficiaries.

    Taylor holds a B.A. in Communication/Journalism from Shippensburg University and maintains an active Accident & Health, Life, and Fixed Annuities license. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and—most of all—her two dogs, Ebby and Boogie.

    Chas Rowzer

    Director of TPA Services
    Chas Rowzer

    Chas Rowzer is the Director of TPA Services and is responsible for introducing prospect and new clients to our administrative services, as well as assisting with servicing existing clients.  Chas delivers extraordinary service, RFP strategy and is an expert in the self-funded market.

    Chas spent her entire professional career working in various positions in the healthcare market, primarily in the third-party administration section.  Chas is a licensed Life, Accident and Health agent.  She has a designation for Certified Employee Benefits Consultant and also has an Associate’s Degree as a paralegal.  Additional certifications through NABIP for ACA and Beyond, Account Based Health Plans and Medical Expense Reimbursement Plans (MERPs) rounds out her professional experience.

    Jamye Shah

    Account Manager, Property & Casualty
    Jamye Shah

    Jamye is a Commercial Lines Account Manager in the Property and casualty division. She recently joined the agency in October 2023 and looks forward to working with the clients she will be servicing. Jamye’s prior experience includes working in various roles with insurance carriers and retail agencies. She has 17 years of insurance experience and currently holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designations.

    Jamye graduated from Penn State in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Sociology. 

    Outside of work, she enjoys cooking and traveling with her husband and two school-aged daughters. Jamye also likes to be of service through volunteer work with Junior Achievement and various opportunities at the girls’ schools.

    Fran Sierotowicz

    Loss Control Manager, Property & Casualty
    Fran Sierotowicz

    Fran is the Director of Loss Control/Risk Management Consultant, focused on helping organizations to effectively evaluate the risk and cost of their insurance programs, in particular the workers’ compensation program. She focuses on the communication of cost-effective compliance and loss-cost reduction programs. Fran works with a variety of stakeholders in organizations – including financial, operational, human resources, training and other executives and employees in delivering results.

    Fran’s work involves assisting clients to develop formal safety programs, safety culture improvement, ergonomic evaluations and strategies, health and safety training, safety program auditing, and fleet management services. Collectively, her work helps clients achieve sustainable results in all casualty risk areas.

    Fran has spent her entire professional career working in the safety & health and risk management field. The majority of her career has been spent working in the risk management segment of the insurance industry. Her time away from insurance was spent in Hands-on Safety Management Practice for a governmental entity and a manufacturing business.

    Fran has a Master’s Degree in Safety Management from West Virginia University; an Associate’s Degree in both Risk Management and Loss Control Management from the Insurance Institute of America; and she is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist from the NFPA.  Fran is a State of PA Certified Trainer and an Authorized OSHA Instructor.

    Deadline for San Francisco Health Care Security Ordinance is approaching

    The annual San Francisco Health Care Security Ordinance (SF HCSO) reporting by employers that have employees who work in the City of or County of San Francisco is due by May 2, 2025. Employers should be aware of the upcoming deadline even if they are not located in San Francisco.



    The SF HCSO requires large and medium-sized employers to provide covered employees with benefits equal to or greater than the expenditure rate. Covered employees are those who have been employed for more than 90 days and who regularly work at least eight hours per week within the City of and County of San Francisco.
