    Since 1987 you may have known us as AIA, or American Insurance Administrators, or as one of our three core divisions: AIA Property & Casualty (P&C), Benefits Resource Group (BRG), or as Benefits Broker Solutions (BBS). You may have heard something about us becoming part of Alera Group in 2017. But we are all one company, and now we are aligning our name, our brand, our new look, and our new website to reflect that strong one-company story.

    Alyssa Rissinger

    Account Coordinator, Employee Benefits
    Alyssa Rissinger

    Alyssa is an Account Coordinator who works for Alera Group’s Small Group Business. Alyssa is responsible for supporting account managers and consultants through the renewal lifecycle, assisting with client benefit questions and claims. Known for clear communication and efficient service. Alyssa helps ensure a smooth client experience from start to finish.

    Alyssa is a collaborative professional who believes in the power of authenticity to drive success. Known for her ability to foster open communication and build meaningful relationships, she consistently goes above and beyond to support her colleagues and achieve shared goals. With a focus on vendor negotiation, contract management, and sales strategy development in the medical insurance sector, Alyssa is certified in customer relationship management and contract administration. She’s recognized for optimizing operations, ensuring compliance, and enhancing team performance in fast-paced healthcare environments.

    When she’s not working, Alyssa is out volunteering at a farm rescue, giving back while hanging out with animals in need. She loves horseback riding, traveling to new spots, and exploring the world with her two energetic Huskies in tow. Whether it's an outdoor adventure or discovering a hidden gem. 

    Patti Robinson

    Account Manager
    Patti Robinson

    Patti is the Senior Account Manager in the Property and Casualty Division of the Alera Group, Harrisburg office. She has been with the team since its inauguration in 1987.  She has held various positions and had multiple responsibilities including an Account Manager, where she specialized in the health care industry and continues to provide outstanding customer service to her clients. Patti is also the Property and Casualty Application Support Manager where she is responsible for the implementation, training, and utilization of the agency management system and the additional technology support services for Property & Casualty team members.

    Patti began her insurance career as an underwriter with a large national carrier in both the Property & Casualty and Bond divisions.

    Patti is also active in NetVU, the Network of Vertafore Users, where she participates as a member of the National Chapter Committee, the Sagitta National Education Committee, and is an officer in the local user’s group.  Additionally, Patti holds her AU (Associate Underwriter) and NcSA (NetVU Certified Sagitta Administrator) designations.  She is also pursuing her Certified Insurance Counselor designation.

    Taylor Ross

    Medicare Account Manager
    Taylor Ross

    Taylor Ross is a dedicated Medicare Account Manager at Alera Group, providing essential support to the company’s team of Medicare agents. With a strong background in Medicare sales and marketing, she understands the complexities of Medicare and is passionate about helping individuals make informed healthcare decisions. Taylor firmly believes that working with a qualified Medicare consultant is key to selecting the right coverage and avoiding costly mistakes.

    In her role, Taylor oversees agent support, client engagement, and sales and marketing strategy, ensuring agents have the resources and guidance they need to succeed. She brings valuable industry expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to both agents and beneficiaries.

    Taylor holds a B.A. in Communication/Journalism from Shippensburg University and maintains an active Accident & Health, Life, and Fixed Annuities license. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and—most of all—her two dogs, Ebby and Boogie.

    Chas Rowzer

    Director of TPA Services
    Chas Rowzer

    Chas Rowzer is the Director of TPA Services and is responsible for introducing prospect and new clients to our administrative services, as well as assisting with servicing existing clients.  Chas delivers extraordinary service, RFP strategy and is an expert in the self-funded market.

    Chas spent her entire professional career working in various positions in the healthcare market, primarily in the third-party administration section.  Chas is a licensed Life, Accident and Health agent.  She has a designation for Certified Employee Benefits Consultant and also has an Associate’s Degree as a paralegal.  Additional certifications through NABIP for ACA and Beyond, Account Based Health Plans and Medical Expense Reimbursement Plans (MERPs) rounds out her professional experience.

    Legal Alert: Enforcement of the HIPAA Reproductive Health Care Privacy Rule Vacated Nationwide

    On June 18, 2025, a federal district court in Texas vacated a significant portion of the HIPAA Privacy Rule to Support Reproductive Health Care Privacy (“Final Rule”), which was implemented on April 24, 2024, on a nationwide basis. The Final Rule, which was implemented in response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization (effectively overturning Roe v. Wade), was intended to protect the ability of individuals to receive reproductive health care when the care is provided lawfully under the circumstances without risk of an individual’s identity or health information being disclosed for purposes of state criminal, civil or administrative investigations (or for imposing liability related to lawfully providing or obtaining reproductive healthcare).
