Now operating as Alera Group, the San Angelo office continues this legacy while offering clients access to expanded resources and a collaborative approach to risk management. The team specializes in commercial insurance, surety and bonding, and risk management services, working closely with clients to understand their exposures, manage insurance costs, and provide strategic guidance throughout the insurance lifecycle.

Paul Adam
Senior Partner
Paul brings more than four decades of experience in property and casualty insurance, specializing in the construction, energy, and nonprofit sectors. His background includes extensive work in both sales and service, supported by licensure as a risk manager and general agent. He is known for his depth of industry knowledge and steady, relationship-driven approach, helping organizations navigate complex risks with clarity and consistency.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Angelo State University. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, participating in mission work through his local church, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Jeff Stewart
Growth Leader
Jeff specializes in property and casualty solutions across commercial industries, with deep experience in construction, oil and gas, and manufacturing. He brings a background as a partner and risk consultant, combining hands-on industry knowledge with a growth-focused, advisory approach. He is known for helping organizations navigate complex exposures with clarity and for fostering long-term, service-driven relationships.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Texas A&M University. Outside of work, he enjoys supporting his children’s athletic pursuits, playing pickleball, staying active, and volunteering.

Casey specializes in oilfield and property coverage and brings a strong foundation in financial planning and risk management to his role. He began his career in Dallas after graduating from Texas Tech University, working in investments and life and health insurance before transitioning into property and casualty with a focus on habitational risks. In 2012, he joined Trimble-Batjer in San Angelo and became a partner in 2023.
Known for his well-rounded industry perspective and client-centered approach, Casey leverages experience across multiple insurance disciplines to help organizations navigate complex exposures with clarity and confidence.
He holds an undergraduate degree in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University. Outside the office, Casey enjoys hunting, golf, ranching on his family’s property, and spending time with his family while supporting his children’s activities.
James Cochran
Risk Consultant
James specializes in commercial insurance with a focus on construction, manufacturing, and oil and gas. He brings experience from Wead Co. Insurance, where he supported personal lines and farm and ranch clients while building a strong foundation in coverage analysis and client service. He is committed to delivering reliable guidance and thoughtful insurance solutions to businesses of all sizes, helping clients understand and manage their risks while building long-term partnerships.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education from Texas Tech University. Outside the office, James enjoys spending time with friends and family, raising livestock, playing golf, and hunting.
