In 2017, TRUEbenefits and 23 firms across the nation joined to form Alera Group. Six years later, we are 180 firms strong, working together to leverage powerful relationships, industry experience and resources with the goal of supporting our clients’ business strategies and elevating the experience of working with us. By embracing our new branding of Alera Group, we will continue to bring our clients a personalized set of solutions while reflecting our expanded capabilities. What remains consistent is holding our clients at the core of our business.

Aaron Millman
Consultant
Aaron Millman has worked in consulting large employer groups since 2007. He strives to help employer groups provide high-quality benefits programs for their employees with effective and innovative plan designs that match their needs. His passion is in designing creative employee benefit plan strategies through collaboration with his clients. Aaron joined the Alera Group team in 2018. He has a BA from the University of Washington, and has spent his entire career in the employee benefits consulting space. When not working or working out, Aaron spends time renovating houses, playing favorites with his nieces & nephews, and traveling.

Senior Client Manager, Team Lead
Emma Potter joined the Alera Group team in 2014. A graduate of the University of Washington, Emma brings extensive experience in managing groups of varying sizes and complexities, with a strong passion for employee benefits. In addition to supervising the client service team, Emma works directly with clients to ensure their satisfaction and success. She loves providing exemplary service to her clients and team and crafting creative, valuable benefit programs tailored to client needs. Outside of work, Emma enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, as well as cooking, reading, and home improvement projects.

Kris Elshaug has enjoyed over 30 years in the health insurance industry, and has been with Alera Group since 2022. She has worked with individual clients and Medicare beneficiaries, as well self-funded, level-funded and fully insured groups of all sizes. Kris considers compliance to be an integral part of the health and welfare plan and is passionate about assisting her clients satisfy these requirements. She is committed to building and maintaining client and employer relationships through genuine communication and outstanding customer service. Kris spends her free time with family and friends, watching Marines games and traveling.

Victor Carter has worked in benefit administration and account management for over 25 years. His combination of administrator, broker and carrier experience give him a well-rounded approach to helping employers navigate their benefit programs. He is customer focused and loves working with clients to help them achieve and exceed their goals and expectations. Victor joined Alera Group in 2020. When Victor’s not working, he enjoys spending time with family, cooking and exploring new places.
