Since 1987 you may have known us as AIA, or American Insurance Administrators, or as one of our three core divisions: AIA Property & Casualty (P&C), Benefits Resource Group (BRG), or as Benefits Broker Solutions (BBS). You may have heard something about us becoming part of Alera Group in 2017. But we are all one company, and now we are aligning our name, our brand, our new look, and our new website to reflect that strong one-company story.

Meet Our Team
Glenda Leister
Senior Benefits ConsultantGlenda joined the team in 2018 and currently handles small, mid-market and large group clients. She works with the clients to provide a strategy to help to mitigate increased cost by providing innovative approaches to reducing costs. Glenda believes that education and engagement of the employees will help manage costs for both employees and employers. With over 25 years in the insurance industry, Glenda has a vast knowledge of the claims processing which provides her clients with excellent customer service and someone to reach out to for help. Glenda is a licensed Accident and Health, Life and Fixed Annuities agent. When not at work she enjoys traveling with her husband to the Caribbean to find their retirement island.
Cheri Long
Associate Implementation AnalystCheri is an Associate Implementation Analyst, responsible for providing administrative support related to the implementation of client benefit technology. She is wellversed in human resources procedures, data entry, and administrative client support.
Cheri has additional experience in the healthcare industry working in third-party patient financial services and as a claims follow-up specialist. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Health Information Technology and a PA Accident & Health, Life & Fixed Annuities license.
Megan Luther
Senior Benefit ConsultantMegan is a Senior Benefit Consultant with the Alera Group, Harrisburg office.
Luke Lynes
Account Manager, Employee Benefits Small GroupLuke serves as an Account Manager in the Employee Benefits division. He is responsible for quoting, enrollment, submissions, and delivering superior service to our broker clients. Luke is known to be a collaborative team player, with exceptional customer service skills.
Luke brings experience in customer and client services to Alera Group, which allows him to cultivate relationships and bring positive outcomes for his clients and the agency. His attention to detail allows him to connect with clients to find the best strategy to suit their needs. Luke received a bachelor’s degree from McDaniel College in 2018.
Outside of work, Luke enjoys spending time travelling with his wife, daughter and two dogs. He is also an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR.

Don’t Forget About Your Gag Clause Attestations
When the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 (CAA) was enacted on December 27, 2020, it included a provision that prohibits group health plans and health insurance carriers from entering into certain agreements that, either directly or indirectly, restrict the release of certain information related to provider networks and de-identified encounter data, among other things. Such restrictions are commonly referred to as “gag clauses.” The CAA also requires plans and carriers to attest annually that their agreements do not include such impermissible gag clauses.
